HR 218 for Law Enforcement Retirees 2009 Schedule

Sheriff Al Lamberti is pleased to offer firearms qualifications for retired law enforcement officers. Retirees must live in Broward County to qualify, however all BSO retirees, regardless of what county or state they reside in can qualify. Retired law enforcement members of the 1013 club, all retired FBI agents and FOP 3100 members who meet the requirements can also qualify. The cost is $75.00 per session. The attached documentation contains: a list of necessary requirements and contact information, HR 218 Retired Officer Request Firearms Qualification form, Release and Indemnity Agreement, the CJSTC qualification requirements and BSO's firearms range rules and regulations. You must read and fill out the necessary paperwork to attend a firearms qualification session. Click here to download the HR218 packet.

After you download the packet and read all of the information, e-mail Sgt. Bill Pennypacker at william_pennypacker@sheriff.org. Phone calls made to BSO's Gun Range cannot be immediately returned due to continuing firearms qualifications.

Please make sure you bring a minimum of (2) magazines / speedloaders, a paddle or belt loop holster with a trigger guard and a hammer strap or internal locking device.
